A Child's Prayer

Yesterday was some sort of a not so good day for me. There wasn't actually a big reason to be sad. I guess it's just one of those days when I am emotionally and spiritually challenged.

In short -- I'm such a drama queen.

Do you ever have those moments when you have questions in your mind and then you will see something on social media that will remind you that God listens? I had that yesterday, and His message came in this form from my Facebook newsfeed:

Oh yeah, my God is absolutely bigger than my fears!!

And so, I came home keeping in mind a reminder that I shouldn't worry. I played with my daughter and called it a night at 1am :) We ended the bedtime bonding with our usual prayer before we sleep. Usually, I tell my daughter what to pray for. Last night, it didn't happen. Coz after I led the sign of the cross, my daughter prayed on her own.
"Papa Disus, tenchu fo ma fud.
Tenchu fo ma... mango.
Tenchu for ma... pangcake
Tenchu fo ma rice.
Amen."
(Papa Jesus, thank you for my food. Thank you for my mango. Thank you for my pancakes. Thank you for my rice. Amen.)

Awww! The heart of a child. How could I worry, when my child is so happy and contented because she has everything that she needs: rice, mango and pancakes. Life is sweet :)
