DIY'ing (A Weekend Story)

It's the second day of December and it's been a while since I last post a Weekend Story. Ever since we moved to our new home, our weekends have become pretty much the same and they all evolved in unpacking, cleaning, segregating, decorating, redecorating, sleeping and DIY'ing at some sort :)

For our new place, we wanted to have a cozy atmosphere without spending too much so we did a lot of research for affordable suppliers and made use of things we already have at home. We also wanted it to be personalized so every single detail at home is a product of hubs-and-I's collaboration :)

Here are some of the items we DIY'd and other things I love at our new place. If you are following me on Instagram, then these are just repetitions of what what you've seen before :)

Japanese Doll from our honeymoon circa 2010, Christmas Balls and candle from Love Lace Studio
Painting from Wilcon Depot, all others -- from my sister's secret store :)
My three-year-old Christmas tree from SM Dasma
This lantern turned into a lamp shade is from a lantern store in Bulacan
Shelves from Wilcon Depot
Since we've got lots of space to fill in, I collated all our family / travel photos to adorn our walls. I had the photos printed at Kodak and spent one weekend framing each of them. It was nice to be reunited with these shots, brings back lots of good memories and made me more thankful to God for all the blessings so far.

One of the best weekend memories I've had ever since we moved in is my loves' bonding over basketball. Yesterday, the little girl was screaming while trying to beat Daddy in this sports. And the photo below is one for the books. I might put this in a frame also -- one day :)

How could you not love weekends?

Happy first day of the workweek. Have a blessed week to all :)
