My daughter loves animals. Her giggles and squeals at the sight of a dog or a pusakal (cats on the street) is priceless. So when we went to SG on my birthday, I made sure to bring her to Singapore Zoo -- The World's Best Rainforest Zoo.
After leaving our bags at the hotel for safekeeping (because we arrived too early for check in), we trooped to Singapore Zoo. The zoo is almost an hour away from our hotel (Festive Hotel - will hopefully blog about it soon), so my little girl had enough time to rest before her fun begins. We arrived past 1pm and met my cousin whom I've never seen for the longest time.
Knowing how hot it could be in SG, I made sure I dressed up our girl lightly and comfortably. I put on mosquito repellant lotion, stuck an anti-mosquito patch at the little girl's back to make sure insects won't have fun on her :)

Hubs and I have been to Singapore Zoo three years ago. So as a lover of before-and-after photo, here's another one for the book :)
What I love about the Singapore Zoo setting is that the animals roam freely in open and naturalistic habitats. There are no cages nor bars so the encounters are always intimate. You can even see monkeys jumping from one branch to another above your head.
There are also animal shows everyday. For full schedule, please check here. We were only able yo watch two shows on that day because our baby took her own sweet time staring at the lions and tigers.

The 26-hectare wildlife park has more than 2,800 animals! It could be a trek on some parts but no worries because they also have guided trams. You can even give your baby stroller a ride :)
The park is open as early as 8:30am - 6:00pm. For more information, please visit their website here.
Buy her a pet na! :)
ReplyDeleteWe're planning na Mags, but mukhang the parents are not yet ready for another obligation. hahaha. We need to make sure somebody will take care of the new pet before we moved on :)
