It's been ages since I last blogged. October has been a very busy month and the devastation brought by Typhoon Yolanda to Central Visayas early this month is really depressing. If there's one thing positive in the midst of all this tragedy, it's that the human spirit is alive! It's contagious. It's so overwhelming to see how help from the international community pours and the Filipino spirit of bayanihan reigns. Almost all the people I know have done their part and donated cash, goods, time and effort for the survivors of Typhoon Yolanda. In our office, the employees have decided to forgo this year's corporate Christmas Party and just donate the budget to Gawad Kalinga. We have also had our own donation campaign and sent some boxes of clothes, food, water, medicine, slippers and toys to the Philippine Red Cross.

Last month, she started loving mermaids especially because her Dad brought her one day a DVD of Barbie in a Mermaid Tale in which the protagonist is Merliah. She's memorized the lines and her favorite is "Her name is Merliah". Feel na feel niya :)
She still loves being a princess and from time to time and I usually catch her in front of our mirror, wearing her crown while bowing to her own reflection.
I love that she's exploring and unafraid to experiment on her facial expressions. She pouts, poses, and smiles with her mouth wide open (so wide, she uses her fingers to stretch it). But photo ops are not always glorious to her feeling photographer mommy, sometimes she's into "Don't like pitchur!" mode but obliges only so Mommy will stop.

My daughter's growing up to be a loving and compassionate person which I fervently pray will never stop. In our last PTC in school, her teacher reported that Liapot often offers them a hug! And she's still OC, too! At her age, she makes sure the laundry is properly placed inside the hamper, she flattens the foot rag and closes the door when it's sleeping time. Recently though, she's becoming afraid of the dark. She hugs Mommy or Daddy when lights are turned off come bed time while whispering "Mommy afraid". Aww, breaks my heart! I wish she won't grow up like her Mommy who chickens out in the dark!
BTW, she hates her toe nails -- if without a polish! So Mama and I alternately makes sure that her toe nails are properly colored. Time to search for a kid-friendly polish asap!! And.. she sings Katy Perry's Roar concentrating on the word "Roar" only! Haha. Oh I love her, and all the crazy things that she do :)

| "Eat here" (Picnic in the middle of a mall!!) |
P.S.
Her most important milestone on her 29th month is that she's weaned from using feeding bottles! So all her baby bottles have been packed away :) She drinks milk once or twice daily and eats like a "real woman"! She can eat two medium sized bananas in one sitting! (I wish to make a post about that soon) Xoxo

Mars, I love her photo na nakatalikod...cute pa rin hahaha! And si Miya din super love the song "Roar" nowadays. She sings with it when we play it on Youtube. Katuwa talaga mga bagets hehe.
ReplyDeleteThanks @Cris! Kids are really crazy these days! Kakatuwa na nakakaloka! Haha. Kisses to Miya :)
