Chopsticks and Summer (A Weekend Story)

Gaaaassshhh! I'm a lazy blogger. I know :( Life has been pretty challenging lately putting this nook at the back seat for a while.

Anyhow, I am so happy and thankful that hubs is back from his weeklong business trip. I can never be used to a long distance relationship. Someone who spends breakfast, lunch and dinner with her husband can never be used to it.

So ever since hubby came, we've decided to catch up with our family bonding. The three of us, as a family. Last weekend was a great opportunity, we were yaya-less and Mama-less so we had the three of us all by ourselves. We finally got the chance to watch Iron Man as well. Great movie! For the first time, my baby girl was wide awake throughout a film (to think that we started at 830pm)! Guess she's now a fan of Iron Man, too!

Sunday morning was pretty laid back. We spent the whole day at home. I surprised my balikbayan hubby with spam and his favorite cheeze omelet plus the creamiest and yummiest carbonara, that I've done so far, for brekky. Promise, masarap!!! :)

We went for a swim in the afternoon to beat the scourging heat of summer. Bibiyow was so brave to try swimming after her Dad. She dove into the water and came up smiling. Brave girl! Scared me to death! So I decided, never again will I give in to her request of taking her life jacket off.

Early evening, we finally went out of our hide out to attend the mass and decided to eat out afterwards. My newly bought bib came handy come eating time! The curious little girl grabbed the sticks and ate away! Makalat! But she looked so cute! Looks like she's now ready for our next trip :)

That's how our weekend went so far. The coming one is going to be an exciting one, Mother's Day and long weekend! Yeehah :)
