Sharing My Awe

After my emergency leave of absence yesterday, I was welcomed at work today by a number of emails that have already piled up. As I open each mail one by one, I was blown away by the one I received from my cousin.

They are photos of places on Earth that doesn’t look real but actually exists! We all know how easy it is to make magic out of photos now so I did not immediately took them seriously – you can’t blame me, can you believe right away that there actually is a lake with pink water?

Lake Retba Senegal
So the inquisitive me consulted Mr. Google and found out that the pink lake actually exists, and the change in the water’s color was brought about by the organisms living in it. Woah!

I am not sure where my cousin got the email photos, but whoever took/created them – I am in awe! Idol! :)

I initially wanted to post all the photos here but they are too big, and might eat up my free blogger space so luckily found the same list from buzzfeed.com. Some of the photos are really scary and really hard to comprehend! So click on, pick your favorite photo and prepare to have your mind blown!

  3. Yes pink lake sis! It's in Senegal and the water is pink because of the presence of Dunaliella salina algae. Oh diba, I feel more wiser after googling some of the photos :)
