This has been a very loong day.
Woke up at 3AM to a vomiting baby girl. Last night, she also had an episode of watery stool before she sleep and initially refused to be washed because she was busy watching the music video of Gangnam Style. She slept really well after that so we were surprised with her vomiting this morning.
After having four episodes of vomiting, we rushed her to the ER of St Lukes Medical Center Global City at four in the morning. Compared with her previous hospitalization, we were happy to be entertained by the nurses as soon as we have entered the SLMC ER.
Doctor said Lia has no sign of dehydration so we were just told to wait for an hour before we let her have her milk again. Clinical impression was Acute Gastroentiritis (AGE) again, a viral disease that will go away on its own. Most of the kids in the ER during our stay were there for the same reason like ours. Doctors said it must be the weather, AGE is going "viral" recently.
Thankfully, our baby girl was cooperative with the doctors and nurses. She did not have any more vomiting episodes after an hour so we were told that we can already go home as soon as she pees. Which did not come out immediately :) We let her wander around the ER to let gravity run on its own course.
Fail.
Until finally, the nurses bribed her with an improvised balloon made from rubber gauze. After some catching and some jumping, the most wanted fluid finally came out! Thank You Lord.
We got the discharged order after lunch and headed straight home for some needed rest for all of us. After recharging for a few hours, Bibiyow is back to her usual bossy self. God is good!
And here she is, trying to make fun of Mommy while eating a banana. She made this weird look after I told her to smile for the camera.
And as of 11PM tonight, our baby girl is still up -- trying to scare mommy by putting a paper bag on her head :)
To God be the Glory. Happy that we have surpassed this long day and glad that my daughter is safe. All the more, thanking God for my Mom. We couldn't have done it without her. I can't rival her love for my daughter. Seriously.
Be safe and healthy everyone! :)
