Bora 2012: On Traveling, Sleeping and Eating

I booked this trip to Boracay through PALakbayan, one rainy Friday night while hubby and I were caught in heavy traffic en route to our home. It was a trip that we all looked forward to for our own reasons: the grannies' first and hubby and I's second but this time, with our sweet little tot.

Everyone seemed to be so excited, not to mention our Liapot. The night before, our luggage looked liked this:

She was one of the last persons to sleep. Amazingly, she was up and about at early morning the next day while everyone was just getting ready. Excited!

Our one hour flight to Kalibo was a real fast one! We weren't served with our drinks yet when we heard the captain say "Cabin crew, prepare for landing". But the short flight didn't stop our little girl from making friends with her seat mates - winning their hearts and a pack of Skyflakes Omega 3 biscuit. Marunong na talaga magdelihensya ang anak ko

We arrived at Kalibo Airport at around 9:15 in the morning -- after some delay in our transfers that was supposed to be part of our PALakbayan package (PAL talaga!), the almost two-hour van ride to Caticlan, a boat-ride and another transfers to our hotel, we finally - FINALLY- reached our destination at 1PM. And here are some of the photos taken throughout the day.

In flight snacks. Robbed before I was able to take a clear photo of it.

Oh Hello Boracay Sand! We meet again :)
Our small family decided to spend the rest of our day in our hotel room, specifically in our bed dozing off in our dreams while the grannies were busy walking around. It's no longer a joke now to tag along a toddler on a trip! Yes, it is super fun, yet super tiring. We almost spent the whole afternoon sleeping and we missed our first meet up with Badet because Liapotpot slept until 5PM! And if we didn't wake up, she could have slept longer!

It was almost dark already when we decided to hit the beach! We just took a stroll, watched some shows by the beach and had buffet dinner to cap the night off.

Mandatory "A Must" in Boracay photo :)

Lia's first encounter with the beach, or with the sand wasn't pleasant at all. The water excites here, but she cries over the sand in her rubber slippers. She was wailing like a pregnant cat and doesn't want to walk unless we take out the sand. But it wasn't in all cases, there were exceptions that made her forget about the tiny grains on her foot.

We traveled all the way to Boracay, and all Lia wants is to play with other (BIGGER) kids. Amazing!

The title of this post basically summarizes what we did on our first day in Bora + Lia's playing pa pala.

More about our Bora vacay in the next posts :)
