Bora 2012: Beach Life!

In as much as I would still want to spend some minutes beside a sleeping angel in the form of my daughter, our human alarm clock (aka Mama) did not gave us the opportunity to "snooze"longer on our second day. We were all up even before the clock hit 7AM and went immediately to the beach after breakfast.

I am not a beach person but the thought of Lia making sand castle excites me. I imagined beach life to be all sunny, a relaxing day where you can read a good book under the shade of a coconut tree while sipping a cold and fresh watermelon shake and adoring the beauty of the horizon. I imagined beach life to be all fun and lively, but nothing like this:

Seems like my daughter's idea of beach life, is fairly different from mine. At 8AM, there she was -- snoozing! Hence, second attempt to meet Badet and family: FAIL!

We stayed in front of Mr. Holidays Hotel at Station 1 for a while and took advantage of their empty beach beds to let the princess rest with a thought in mind that she will just take a quick nap. But lo and behold, she slept until 10am! Our initial plan was to go back already to our hotel at that time to rest and just return to the beach later on that day. But since we were all too lazy to go back the trek, we opted to book a room for a day at Mr Holidays Hotel where we kept our things and where we all had our siestas in the afternoon.

Then came the time when the sun hid under the clouds, and 'twas the signal for us to hit the beach!

And guess what, the little girl was hesitant at first because she hated the sand sticking on her foot sole.

It took my little OC-girl some time to realize that no -- her feet aren't dirty and the grains will wash off when she goes to the waters, and that's when we (and SHE) started to have fun :)

We checked out at past 7PM and walked by the beach to D'Mall. Side kwento: we saw a lot of celebrities that night! If I was only looking and smelling good (because we didn't changed clothes all through out the day!) that night, I could have bravely requested for a photo op :)

After dinner, the grannies went to the hotel with the tot while hubby and I stayed a little longer at D'Mall for a massage. Since we weren't able to take a proper bath the whole day, our massage felt like a body scrub with all the sand on our body -- which was amazingly good by the way! :)
