34 Months

My daughter celebrated her 34 birth month yesterday. It was a happy day! She spent the rest of the afternoon in my office and we walked to her Dad's office after work. She loves going to work with me, oh how I wish we could do that everyday.

Before we enter the lift yesterday, she repeatedly instructed me to "Hold my hand mommy". And I did, we walked hand in hand. Once in a while, she will ask "Mommy, can I hop?". And eventually she will "hop-hop-hop" after I confirmed yes. When we were near Dad's office, she giggled "Mommy, I'm so happy".

Oh God, I melt. Thank You Lord for giving me the chance to experience how it is to be a Mom :)

My daughter is almost three :) Lately, she's been talking like crazy. One time she asked me "Mommy, you have a baby in your tummy?". I was shocked but I made a follow up question instead "Do you want a baby brother or baby sister?".

"Baby sister", she said with confidence.

Oh, she's grown a lot! She's really talking now -- and she has been very honest and vocal about her thoughts.

"Mommy, I love you."
"Mommy, I'm hungry"
"No, I don't like bread, i want pancake".
"Mommy, I don't like to sleep. I want to watch a movie"
"Tamara is my best friend"
"I don't like this, it's not nice"

And sometimes, it's like this:

"Mommy, I don't like you"

There are instances where she hits my boiling and I will pretend (or actually feel) mad, and she will say "Mommy, don't get mad. I love you" -- after that, I feel like nothing happened :)

Awww, my daughter. And yet, no matter how she asserts her independence, I can't help but resist. She's still my baby who's obsessed with Barbies and Princesses. She can switch from one character to another.

One night, she welcomed me home in her pink tutu - the same one she wore on her first birthday party. Mama said she was wearing it the whole day, and she didn't stop until we let her sleep on it.

But at the end of the day, she will always be the Snow Queen Elsa...

... for now :)

Highlights this month:
- We've finished one school year already! Yeah baby, more to go!
- She's recently into dancing, baking and biking :)
- Aside from giving thanks for her food, she now mentions us in her prayers. And she actually mentions every single person in the house, including her Ninong who stayed for a night last weekend :)
- She can now input her iPad's passcode. And she uses the same pin in any gadget that she uses. Lol
- She calls other kids and even her cousins "My fwends"
- Her favorite bonding with Daddy: wrestling (ohmigod!!)
- She can now wear her Queen Elsa cape on her own (probably because she got tired from asking help from us over and over again)
