32 Months (And A Weekend Story)

My daughter is turning three soon!

*breathe in-breathe out*

It gives me bittersweet feelings every time I think that we're getting farther and farther from those days when she was lounging safely in my tummy as we get closer to the day that she'll embark on her own journeys in life. I know, I'm stressing myself too much -- but I'm a Mom so please excuse me :)

Liapopot just turned 32 months last Saturday and I still can't believe how time flies. Coming from a very stressful workweek, we spent the day lazily, savoring the cold weather and bonded over ice cream (homemade!), movie (Frozen marathon) and singing (concert king/queen/princess in the house!!).

In our effort to live healthier this year, we're trying to add as much veggies and fruits on our table. We're eating more greens and trying to avoid sweets as much as possible. The latter is still a progress in the making so to make the effort easier, I bought a dessert maker online so we can make homemade and healthy dessert for the family :)

Bibiyow, like her Mom, is an ice cream lover. For our first try, we made ice cream using Lia's favorite fruits -- mangoes and bananas! She assisted me by putting on some chocolate raisinets and some flower candies on top of our ice cream :)

Some Highlights on Her 32nd Month

  • I am so happy that she's been a good eater recently. She's slowly gaining back the weight that she lost after getting sick during our Christmas vacation. Recently, she loves corn flakes, coco crunch, bananas (she can eat two medium sized bananas in one seating! And yes, we usually stop her after her second to avoid any toilet drama), mangoes and Milo. She has this habit every afternoon of asking for "Milo, please!".
  • Her new favorite movie is Frozen and she can't decide yet if she's Elsa or Anna. The movie has been playing over and over in our house during the weekend.
  • On our videoke bondings, she loves to grab the mic and shout "I am Liapopot Pincess" (I am Princess Liapopot).
  • Aside from being a princess (and a mermaid!) she's also now a Doctor -- Doc Stuffins (Doc McStuffins) -- who else?? :)
  • She's also becoming a fast-talker. I remember the days when I wished that she's talking already. Now, she's like a CD playing in repeat mode. Her favorite line? "Was dat" (What's that?), "Wat U Doin?" (What are you doing?), "Wa happen?" (What happend?). Sometimes she can keep talking and talking with hands on her waist.

If she isn't watching Frozen or isn't in the mood to role-play as Doc Stuffins, she's either reading the book Bible for Toddlers or watching DVD's from Superbook.

Superbook! Does it ring a bell to you? It's what happy TV was all about in my days. The hubs insisted to get a copy of the recent episodes to introduce the little one to bible stories. The older version is a classic love but the animation of the recent version is a hit with my kid :)
