Spell Busy (A Weekend Story)

We had a busy weekend in celebration of our Daddy's birthday! He just turned 21 and he's internalizing it so much. I threw a simple surprise for him on Friday night. Brought him out for a dinner date and a water spa experience. Not to mention I drove for him, and dared the Friday-gimmick-night-Makati-traffic! I have been so lazy to accompany him to Ace Water Spa so I realized that his birthday is the perfect time for it. With Mama's help, we sneaked towels, shirts and his swimming outfit in the car so he had no idea where we were heading that night.

The water spa was indeed an experience. After staying in the heated pool for more than two hours, I almost had to beg hubby to carry me home if only it wasn't his birthday. And the beach-summery wall art outside the locker room didn't help at all. I literally want to sleep right there and then.

We came home around midnight already so we welcomed his birthday with this 'almost' DIY'd cake. Best effort ko na yan :)

That baby is now our Daddy :)

Saturday was jam packed also. Woke up early for a trip to Our Lady of Manaoag, which is usually his birthday wish.

I wonder what she's praying for.

We capped off the night with a videoke date with the in laws. Bibiyow had so much fun! Here she is rocking the Gangnam Style:

Sunday was pretty different. We really aim Sundays to be our lazy days where we can wake up late and then go back to bed after lunch and sleep all afternoon. Since we already went to mass on Saturday, we just came out of our cage come dinner time for a pizza-pasta fix.

Was planning to watch Monster University for the little girl but all cinemas were full. We ended up buying Despicable Me DVD and a bucket of popcorn for a movie night at home!

Yay! Super. Fun. Weekend!
