26 Months

Disclaimer: Proud mommy post so please bear with me :)

I think I am baaaack!

And sorry for my nega-post yesterday! Blame it to the hormones! A good friend of mine even suspected that I am preggy. Hihi, i wish!!

Anyway, here's an update on my 26-month-old daughter. I am proud to say that words are finally coming out of her mouth, I mean real words although her sentences are still obscure. She recites the parts of her body and I so love it when she says "foot" with a strong "f" sound. Buti pa siya :)

I know kids develop differently. Each has it's own talent and skills. At two years old and two months, my daughter hasn't memorize her alphabet yet. But she knows her 1-10, and sometimes skips a number to tease us. She likes animals and loves to name each one and mimics their sound. Last night, I was surprised that she knows what a koala is :)

I am also proud to say that I think she's passed over with the tantrum stage. She's more understanding now and knows how to negotiate. Like if she's still eating and wants to watch TV na, I will ask her to finish the food first before she can watch TV and most of the time, she obliges. Her schooling has helped a lot in her social skills' development. Her teacher told me that she is so friendly, says "Hi" and "Good morning" to her teachers and even welcomes each of her classmates. And she doesn't grab things from kids. Usually, if she likes a toy of her classmate, she gets another toy and tries to negotiate for a trade. One time, we gave a little piano to her classmate as a gift for his birthday. In order to get hold of the piano, she tried to put her classmate to sleep (patting his tushy) during their "sleeping" time so she can play with the piano. That's my kiddo :)

I also love that she knows when to say sorry. It's just that sometimes, I think she's overusing it. She does things even if Mommy's already giving her a tiger-look, then she'll eventually say sorry after the act. What to do Mommies??

The other night, she was busy looking around at the mall and wasn't paying attention while walking so she bumped into an old lady. It was so cute that she said "Sowi" (Sorry) afterwards with a goodbye wave to the lady :)

She's still a fan of ice chim (ice cream) and gets giddy at the sight of it. Problem is, she now makes "turo" those ice cream stalls and parlors when we are in the mall. Meanwhile, Jollibee stays "Labi"  I hope she'll get over it soon. She pronounces the name of her classmates pretty close to the actual except for Honoka whom she calls "Hota". Teacher is "itcher". Pwede na rin! My cousin gave her a teddy bear when we were in Singapore last week and she named her teddy "Davin" from the name of one of her classmates (Gavin).

She likes wearing high-heeled shoes and is recently fascinated with pinses (princess). She likes a crown, a wand and this maxi-dress that she want to wear all the time! We had to wash the dress ever day coz she looks for it come bed time.

Hay, my little lady's growing up so fast! When she sees something different like a big flower or a landmark or something, she calls Mommy and says itchur (picture). And here she is in her new favorite pose.

Yay! I think I now understand the parents who postpone having baby number two when their first born is at this age. It's because at this stage, toddlers are into exploring and discovering things, and parents would want to be there for them, and join them every step of the way.

So, how will I really know if I am ready for baby number two now that I am so head over heels in love with this little copycat? Something to think about this weekend! Hahah :)

Happy Friday! Cheers :)
