Last Mother's Day, hubs surprised me with a staycation at The Boutique Bed & Breakfast. Aside from the yummy Baby Back Ribs from its restaurant Hawaiian Bar-b-que, the place has earned popularity from its unique and quite quirky room names :)
It was our second time to stay in that lovely boutique hotel, the first being on our first wedding anniversary -- during that time I was four months preggo with bibiyow :) I was having a sensitive pregnancy and can't take the stairs so we got the last available room at the ground floor called I Escape.
For our recent visit, we got a room at the second level called I Dream. It was perfect for us with its heavenly white interior, a private terrace and a breathtaking view of the Taal Lake.

For our stay, I chose the following: green tea lotion, peppermint bath and shampoo, a melon-"something" soap for me, and lavender soap for hubs. For our room's scent, I chose lavender also for a soothing and refreshing feel.
One of the things I love about this place are the bedside nibblers and fruits for the guests' consumption. Last time we stayed there, everything inside those tiny cute bottles below ended up in my preggy tummy :)
It was raining on Mother's Day and perfect for this stay-cation. We enjoyed the cool weather and snuggled with each other under the heavy yet soft bed comforters. I think the one who enjoyed it the most was this girl! She had fun eating while watching her favorite cartoons.
For dinner, we decided to just stay and dine at their restaurant called Hawaiian Bar-b-que. It was not surprising that the place is full on a weekend so we made sure to call the concierge and ordered bulalo and grilled blue marlin in advance. We waited for almost 30 minutes before we receive a call that our table is ready.
Back to our room, we changed into our pajamas immediately and snuggled under the comforter again while watching The Voice. The night was capped off by a complimentary (yummy!!) hot chocolate and goodies served at bedtime.
| "Love is not finding someone to live with. It's finding someone you can't live without." -- This is the same quote from our last visit. |
Another thing that makes this place famous is their breakfast prepared in bed! Something our nocturnal baby wasn't immediately ready for.
All rates/rooms also includes a complimentary facial cold stone massage or foot massage, which unfortunately they weren't able to provide in this recent stay. And they didn't realize that until we informed them during our check out. Apparently, "they think" that there has been a miscommunication with the masseuse. Just a little disappointing considering that it was our second time there already.
Anyhow, they made up for it by sending a bunny home with this little girl.
