Japan 2013: Il Cuore Hotel Namba

One of the most important things to consider on a trip is the location of your hotel. As budget travelers, room size doesn't matter to us since we just need a place to rest after a long day of sightseeing and shopping. We can forgo the amenities, the breakfast but not the location (and free wifi!!).

Hotel Il Cuore Namba answered all of our concerns above. Lots of restaurant and malls around (Takashiyama and Namba Parks), around 10-15 minute walk to Dotonbori and Shinshaibashi Shopping Arcade, around 7 minute walk to Ebishu Bashi shopping street and less than five minute walk to Namba station -- your gateway to almost anywhere in Osaka.

Payment is self-service through an automated machine and you need to settle the bills upon check in. You can pay in cash (JPY only) or via credit card.

The hotel is clean and cozy with a big lounge for the guests.

Wifi is free in the room (without a password) and there's also two available computers at the lounge. Please note however the the default language in the desktop computer is Japanese :)

Complimentary coffee, sugar and cream are also available 24/7. And look at their aesthetically created stirrer below. Kawaii!

Room size is average. Ours was around 18 sqm, I think. But it's just enough for us even if with a tot who keeps on roaming around.

What I love about Japanese comfort rooms is that no matter how small it is, they still find a way to put a tub in it. Also, the toiletries are definitely better and complete with cutesy combs and headband. And of course, the automatic toilet bowl (with a seat that warms up) that splashes water strategically to where you want it to be.
Maximizing space at its finest!

Over all, this hotel is really the best value for money. And if I can wish for improvement, probably I'd wish the staff speaks better English. But anyway, it's not really an issue at all because they've all been helpful.
