For the past two days, I have been covered in weary. I think no mom wouldn’t be, when her child is sick and suffering. We rushed my daughter to the hospital last Tuesday night for vomiting, and when it didn’t stop after few hours, she got admitted. Yesterday, she started having diarrhea and her temperature shoot up to 39.2. Worst is that I have to come to work today, and it was devastating to hear the news that instead of getting better, the little girl’s temperature even rose to 40 this morning.
I am probably just lucky to inherit my Mom’s calmness and “false” bravery, I am still able to smile but deep inside, my heart is weeping. I really don’t care if we have to stay longer at the hospital until she is fully recovered, thank heavens for hubby’s health insurance, but my immediate wish is for her fever to go down. Ever since she got the fever, getting neither a hug nor a kiss from her is heartbreaking. She doesn’t want to be touched, not even to be smiled and looked at which is really something new and signifies that she’s feeling something.
But she is still my brave little girl. She even uttered a very cute "Wow" upon seeing her IV and when we passed by the painting above on our way to her room from the ER. She never really cries or wails unless you tease her with a wave or a smile. Silence was all she wants while she endures whatever pain she’s having at the moment.
But the Lord is good and He hears my prayers. As of this writing, my phone just beeped and an sms from Mama saying Lia’s temp is down to 37.4 is on my screen.
Isaiah 49:13
Shout for joy, you heavens; rejoice, you earth; burst into song, you mountains! For the LORD comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones. (NIV)

Please, please, please help pray for my bibigirl’s immediate recovery. We need backups :)
Thanks and stay safe everyone :)
