Happy Monday

We are finally home! And I just couldn't contain my happiness. After almost one hell of a week, we are finally sleeping in one roof altogether tonight.

Bibigirl is back to her energetic self. In the first few days of her confinement, she was a total stranger even to Dr Vienne. There was a time when the consulting doctor wasn't able to enter her room because the little miss patient shooed her (and the nurses) away. And there was even a time when she also did that to her Momme and Daddy! She was so clingy to Mama that the nurses already created a joke about me being just an ate :)

Lia was diagnosed with acute gastroentiritis again, same reason when she got hospitalized last year. But this time it was caused by e-coli infection which is usually from contaminated water or food (read more here). Symptoms often occur three-four days after you come in contact with the bacteria and as far as I remember, we ate at this restaurant the weekend before Lia's confinement and days after, she started vomiting. But I do not want to mention that name of the place as I am not really sure. And besides, my daughter is doing well already. And I am one happy Momme!

Guess who's so excited to go home :)
Four things I am so thankful today:
1. My parents who takes care of my daughter while I accomplish my employee duties.
2. A company that supports and understands me while I do my mommy duties.
3. A great, compassionate and really knowing doctor who provides logical and clear explanations to calm my parents
4. Friends and even strangers (who stumbled upon this page) who sent their prayers for the immediate recovery of my little girl.

Also, I would like to mention how satisfied we were with the service at St. Luke's Global City. This is our first confinement (and hopefully the last) and I couldn't say more about the world class service that they offer. From the attentive nurses, to the warm doctors and even the helpful housekeepers and hospital employees who kept on checking about our satisfaction on a daily basis -- superb!

What a great way to start the week! Blessings to us all :)

  1. Yehey! Good to hear that Lia is now better :) I do hope that your guys would be able to get the rest that you all deserved. Happy Monday indeed :)

One of my twins also got hospitalized last year due to gastroenteritis and we also had to stay in the hosp for 4 days. I remember the excitement and happiness I felt then when the Pedia told us that we can finally go home!

  7. Now I see bibigirl smiling na! Ganda talaga sa St. Lukes, mababait yung mga nurses. Pero kahit na parang hotel sya, ayoko pa rin mag stay dyan hahaha...
