BCN 2013: La Boqueria - Mercat de Sant Josep

When we arrived in Barcelona, the first thing we did, after settling our things in our room and taking our "we are here" photo using instaweather, was discovering La Rambla. I have so many reasons to go to La Rambla, one being the La Boqueria - Mercat de Sant Josep.

La Rambla
I have always been amazed with the name of the place -- it sounded like a flower market to me. You know, flower bouquet :) When I started researching for this trip, La Boqueria never misses to be on list of places to visit in Barcelona.

La Boqueria is said to be one of the most popular markets in Europe. The main entrance is located at La Rambla, close to Liceu -- Barcelona's opera house. The market is clean and bursting with colors of different fruits perfectly lined up with each other like they are just on display :)

Other things available there are nuts in various shapes, chocolates for the sweet tooth and jamon for the meat lovers :)

Price is quite cheap, especially of the jamon that we bought. It would be lovely if markets in PH are like this, masarap sana mamalengke :)

  1. Nosebleed ako sa name ng lugar, di ko mapronounce. Pero may mga chocolates pala, tatandaan ko na sya. =) Because of your Barcelona posts, it makes me want to put it on my bucket list.
