How was your Christmas holiday? Oh diba, it's already the 10th day of the new year and yet I am still asking about Christmas holiday :)
Anyway, we've been blessed to have spent our Christmas in Hong Kong again for the second time. We went on a four-day trip with a day in the happiest place on Earth and Macau. I love going to Hong Kong in December because of the weather -- not warm and not too cold. Just enough to make you wear winter jackets without a thermal underwear and knitted clothes underneath.
Here are the highlights of our Hong Kong 2012 trip:
(first) Reunited with my good friend -- Kendie!! She has always been very supportive whenever we visit, making sure we are always full and satisfied with every meal. She always make sure she has time for us so imagine her surprise and harassment when I told her about the trip just three days before our arrival :) A year after we first personally met, she still has the same fair and soft skin I always envy. Her beauty secret: just washing her face with plain water.
(second) Said hello to authentic Hong Kong dimsums again! And as they say, the best things in life are free -- so thank you so much as always Kendie :) My new favorito: egg tarts!
Side story: While I was busy chatting with Kendie, Lia who was sitting only my lap suddenly clapped her hands and shouted "Yehey!". To my surprise, I saw a pile of veggie stalks from the fried rice that my little girl stack up :)
(third) Got myself a good, yet affordable Christmas gift! A pair of booties for my aching feet! It's a big advantage that Kendie is always with us whenever we shop -- she always tell us if the price we're getting is for tourist and tries to negotiate for us. This pair, that I oh so love, is very comfy, never gave me any ache after all the walking that we did :)
(fourth) How could I ever go home without having a taste of my ultimate HKG love?
HK KFC's very own Oats So Sweet flavored chicken that you eat by hand, without having to wash your hand before and after your meal because this got you covered :)
In 2011, we had KFC on Christmas Eve and in 2012, we had it on Christmas day before heading back to the hotel to prepare for our flight back to Manila. KFC serve egg tarts too as side dish to most of their meals -- yummy!
Some street photos that I took:
I realized that in our previous travels, I rarely had street photos without me (or hubby or Lia) at the foreground :)
More about our holiday in Hong Kong in my next posts :)
