Armed with our packed lunch and our umbrellas in all sizes, we all met up in EK just in time for it's 11AM opening on a Saturday. We ate lunch outside EK and had a picnic like small kids at the parking lot. And when we were all charged up, we braved the long line and the heat to get our tickets.
EK offer various ticket promos. We specifically availed the discount given to government employees and were able to save lotsa moolahs!
Lia is still free of charge but was only allowed to take three rides. One of which, the Grand Carousel, which is her recent addiction. Imagine lotsa drama as soon as the ride stops moving. We joined her excitement for the ride only to be disappointed later on when we were told that my little girl is still too small for the horsey and we can only sit down at the "slay".
But she was able to take two rides, and for some reason, both were related to prehistoric creatures: some dinosaur egg ride and a flying dinosaur. Hehe :)
Poor little baby, she wasn't so happy. But the parents were! I had fun riding my usual (Flying Fiesta, The Dodgem etc) yet still spared myself from those that aren't favorable for my age and heart condition (Anchor's Away, EKstreme, Space Shuttle etc) hehe. But a trip to EK won't be complete without riding the Giant Ferris Wheel.

I also tried cart racing for the first time! Boy, it was pawis steering to the max! But it was a fun new experience.
Compared to my previous visits, it's nice that EK is improving. Aside from the usual rides, EK now has a lot of things to offer: from singers on the street, to stage shows, to animal encounters and Indian dances -- the latter being my favorite :) We also had a chance to hear the mass that afternoon in their fully air-conditioned auditorium and was able to watch the talent competition of Ms. Earth Philippines.
'Twas a FUNtastic day for us -- kids and kids-at-heart alike :)
