Lia is slowly becoming fickle minded, she's having too much of her iPad. She opens an app, then closes it after a minute or so. Glides her hand on the screen, chooses another app, opens it, then closes it again. The same thing goes on and on.
So, I thought to myself, I need to buy something educational, something that will make Lia pause and think. Something that will enhance her cognitive and creativity. Something like this ---
Ok fine, I am just making excuses. I didn't really thought about the abovementioned items when I bought this. I just got carried away by a cute toddler carrying the same demo unit all around the department store as if she knows what that thing was all about.
Mama and our Ate Weng told me that according to a TV show that they've watched, I need to learn how to say no to Lia to avoid spoiling her. And when I say NO, it should really be a BIG SOLID NO despite a hysterical child in her acrobats. It should be plain NO because kids nowadays are too smart, they already know how to hypnotize their parents.
Problem is, Lia wasn't all cranky when she showed interest on this sketcher. She was plain too cute like a little shopper making her way to the cashier. So there, I got mesmerized. And if you call that spoiling, I plead guilty, and I think each parent has his/her own way of "spoiling" in his/her attempt to give what he/she thinks is best for her kid. (Defensive much! Haha).
And here's my happy writer.....
... who never fails to make me feel proud. Haha! Presenting, mi unica hija's obra maestro:
The thin lines – by her hand. The thick ones – by her foot :)

spoiler ka nga sis. hehe! almost 1k yata ito.
ReplyDeleteI like the thick ones .. by her foot! :)
ReplyDeleteAt IPad talaga niya no? Kawawa naman tayo. Buti pa sila meron ;)

ReplyDeletenakah! di pala nagiisa si Lucas with Apple apps. He also opens, then closes an app then picks another app! You better buy her a table na Mars! :)

Wow! That's a nice idea, ako naman what I usually do pag nasa mall kami together with Cyler I let him play the toys but we didn't buy it unless kailangan talaga but there are times when we can't stop buying it especially pag educational toys naman (Palusot #1).
ReplyDeleteAnyhoo, I guess most toddlers think scribbling or drawing are fun things to do! I remember pati wall at door kinulayan ni Cyler! LOL
hahaha! Lia is so cute. And very creative! Favorite ko yung special participation ng foot sa drawing. hehehe
